Mt.Hood Organic Farms Wedding Video
Mt. Hood Organic Farms is one of the most incredible places to marry in all of Oregon. The location of the property is next level; imagine a European dream land that has found itself in Oregon.
The star of the show is the incredible view of Mt. Hood. The mountain dramatically overlooks 200 acres of orchards and gardens that cover the grounds. The smell of blooming flowers is intoxicating.
The farm turns most of the apples it grows into cider that is available for sale. The apple juice ferments in barrels for a year. The aged cider is then mixed with fresh juice which induces a secondary fermentation process. The end result is a cider with gentle, creamy and Champagne-esque textures. I would definitely recommend getting a few bottles for your wedding if it’s in your budget.
Each building on the property is thoughtfully constructed. The attention to detail is heartwarming. You can tell this property is a labor of love. Every structure feels handmade in the best sense of the word. The owners, Brady and John Jacobson, have been on the property since the early 1980’s and have used their skills and creativity to create a bespoke wedding venue.
To me, the most impressive building is called The Apple House. This will be where dinner is served. It’s a wonderful melding of styles from all over the world that somehow work perfectly. There are Italian, Spanish, and even Japanese influences that come together harmoniously. It’s a marvel.
Oh, and the food is amazing. You are going to have to BYOB but when it comes time for dinner, trust the on site catering of Cultivate Catering. Their commitment to bringing you and your guests local and seasonal ingredients is commendable. The food culture at Mt. Hood Organic Farms reminds me of visiting Europe: everything is super fresh and local. The caterers take full advantage of the amazing local produce the gorge has to offer.
It’s hard to find a flaw with this venue. If your party is under 200 and you're looking to transport your wedding party to someplace remarkable, it’s hard to beat Mt. Hood Organic farms.
