Skamania Lodge Wedding- Stevenson, Washington Videographers Venue Review
Skamania Lodge in Stevenson, Washington is an amazing place to have your wedding. The lodge is located in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge. With breathtaking views and lots of options for outdoor enthusiasts, it wasn’t a huge surprise to find out that Skamania Lodge was voted “Best Outdoor Venue 2020” in Oregon Bride Magazine.
The outdoor pavilion offers the most impressive sights. You’re surrounded by nature and panoramic views of The Gorge. It's an impressive place to say, “I do”. The Pavilion is also covered, protecting your guests from sun or rain. As a result, the venue achieves a wonderful indoor/outdoor balance suitable for any event.
For photography and videography, there are a lot of great looking locations within walking distance to the pavilion. This means that couples don't need to go very far to get amazing sunset photos. I always feel bad when couples have to spend a lot of time away from their guests so they can get dramatic wedding photos. Skamania Lodge enables a photographer or videographer a lot of different “feels” while not needing to drive the couple from location to location.
Another great thing about this venue is the sheer amount of activities available on the grounds. Assuming your guests stay overnight (definitely recommended) you don’t need to leave the lodge to have a good time. There is a zip-line course, an aerial park and of course, ax throwing. I mean, if you’re not throwing an ax are you even getting married?
Skamania Lodge also offers yoga classes, a golf course, whitewater rafting, waterfall hikes and a spa. No matter who you invite to the lodge, your guests will find a way to entertain themselves. And if all else fails there is always the bar.
The lodge itself is stunning. It’s also HUGE, so there is a great chance the majority of your wedding party can stay in one place. I’ve shot here a few times and I can definitely recommend Skamania Lodge as a great venue.
